Dr. Michael Faulkner (Senior Pastor) 
Dr. Michael D. Faulkner joined Riverview as Senior Pastor in December of 2005. Rev. Faulkner was called to Riverview from South Carolina where he had been actively engaged in ministry for the past 20 years serving as pastor and in associational leadership. In addition to his service in vocational ministry, Rev. Faulkner has worked extensively in public education serving as a high school and middle school teacher, coach, assistant principal, principal, district level administrator and special education consultant. Rev. Faulkner is married. His wife Terri, B.A.; M.Ed., is employed as an elementary school counselor at Rosa Parks Elementary School, Woodbridge, VA. They have three children. Rev. Faulkner holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy and Religious Studies from Gardner-Webb University, Boiling Springs, NC; a Master of Arts degree in Teaching and Social Sciences from Winthrop University, Rock Hill, SC; the Educational Specialist degree in School Administration also from Winthrop University; and the Doctor of Ministry degree in Counseling from the Graduate Theological Foundation at Notre Dame, South Bend, Indiana. Rev. Faulkner has completed post-graduate studies in the areas of education and ministry at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill; the University of Connecticut at Storrs; the Citadel, Charleston, SC; and Johnson Bible College, Knoxville, TN. |
